Meet The Creator

Molly

Greetings, my name is Norman A. Katz, and I am the Creator of Atom & Molly.

I think the term “creator” is the best one to describe me. I certainly did create Atom, Molly, Atom & Molly, and the other characters and the entire storyline insofar as I thought of them and the concept all by myself and they are an original idea of mine.

Since I did not technically draw these characters by hand, I thought it would be disrespectful to the artform and profession to call myself a "cartoonist", so I opted for the "creator" moniker instead.

Given that Atom and Molly are atomic particles, "creator" seemed a better fit anyway.

Since I lack the talent to draw, I had to figure out how to bring my vision to some kind of form, using what I had available to me and what I knew how to use. That's based on a saying from a many decades old childrens cartoon: I can remember the saying but not the exact cartoon that it was in. How's that for inspiration? They are also great words to live by personally and professionally. The saying is in the beginning of the first book, Atom & Molly: The Wireframe Edition.
